Christmas cheer for staff and patients

Christmas can be a difficult time of year for people missing family and friends and feeling isolated at home. A number of patients, staff and volunteers at St Mary’s hospital gathered in the canteen to take some space to enjoy a traditional carol service, with some twists, and I was so proud so be a part of it.

I got to sing Alto again with the Songbirds choir - after only 4 rehearsals! We were accompanied on the piano by the legendary Howard Wilkie and led by the wonderful Lucy Stevens - with members of the Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra alongside!

I really hope that I get a chance to sing more in 2024. It is so good for the soul!
